Surfside 7s Rugby Tournament July 24, 2010
Keep up-to-date on the latest at the Surfside 7s at: www.surfside7s.com
Hello Everyone,
Its that time of year again. To make things a little easier I have created a special e-mail list. You can subscribe, unsubscribe and forward the e-mail to others so they can subscribe to the list. If you send me an e-mail saying take me off the list - I will ignore it because you can take yourself off at anytime using the links in the e-mail.
Sign up as soon as you can. This tournament fills up every year and I turn away 6 or 7 teams with a heavy heart.
As it stands, we will have:
*an Old Boy bracket,
*a high school/u19 bracket, and
*an Open bracket.
Visit www.surfside7s.com for more 7s tournament information
I have decided as the Tournament Chair that for this year we will be naming the High School/U19 Bracket in memory of Josias Sterling, the St. Joe's Prep Rugby alumni who passed away before our tournament last year.
If we get enough teams for a touch bracket or a women's bracket by June 25, 2010, I will do it. I will not add either after that date. If you don't have 4 teams with payment ready to go for touch or a women's bracket do not pay. I don't have time to do refunds and I will give you back your money when I can.
Here are the dates you need to know:
June 1, 2010 - Ball Sponsorship Due (Artwork and $)(Full Panel $500/partial panel is $250)
June 11, 2010 - T-Shirt Sponsors Due (Artwork and $) ($500/$250)
June 25, 2010 - Cutoff for any new brackets (for example women or touch)
June 25, 2010 - Early Bird Rate for Tournament Entry Fee of $265 is over at 12 midnight
June 26, 2010 - Tournament Entry Fee becomes $300
(no exceptions, no one)
July 15, 2010 - Program Ads due (Artwork and $)
There is still a discount for two teams of $500.
There are two ways to pay for the tournament.
First, you can pay me through the paypal link on this e-mail (or others like it) or, second you can send me a check at Elliott Greenleaf, 1105 North Market Street, 17th Floor, Wilmington, DE 19899.
We reserve the right to break up the open bracket to accommodate more teams.
U19 means U19 - so some high school players might face some college freshman. Coaches tell your parents and players that fact so we don't have any issues by the time we get to the field.
The quick links to the left will contain a link to a spreadsheet with the teams as they send in their checks.
Right now, its all of last year's teams.
Also available at the link is our emergency plan (gives you the info on hospitals and ambulance) and a sponsorship form. I will add links to our sponsors as that develops.
Sincerely,
Rafael Zahralddin
Tournament Chair
