Christmas Trees Sales 2011

Christmas Tree 2011

In a repeat of an annual endeavor begun in 2003, PW is again selling Christmas trees at the McLean residence. Peter Heaton and George Betzler plan to make the trip yet again up North to Santa's workshop and forest for the tree pickup. Let's make this year the best ever for tree sales. Trees will be available by the end of next week.

2008 Christmas Trees

Matt 'Tatonka' Szkotak comments, 'I paid for 2 on Sat. Brought 1 home! Tree looks geeat. They are big and beautiful and smell great. Can't see my TV, but worth it.'
I'll donate a tree. Where do I send the check and for how much? Ozzie
Put me down for one! Mutt

2005 Christmas Trees

The club sold 45 trees in 2005 ... maybe not our best effort on sales, but fewer sales means more donations! So, that means the CYWA and the Salvation Army of Coatesville are the real winners. I contacted Jennifer Smith at 5 pm, just 4 hours after we dropped off over 30 trees to the Community Youth and Women's Alliance of Coatesville. The trees were all gone. They gave them all away! That boys, is what the holidays is all about! The Salvation Army, I'm sure had the same success. The boys of PWRFC were responsible for over 60 families who otherwise couldn't afford it, now have Christmas trees in their homes. Way to go! You should all be proud of your efforts. Thanks especially to Keith McLean for his hard work and dedication to PWRFC.

2003 Christmas Trees

In 2003, PW sold over 100 trees and then, when it seemed like the rest of the trees would be headed for garden mulch, long-time PW player and supporter Matt 'Tatonka' Szkotak issued a challenge to the PW rugby club.

Matt donated a tree to a family in need and 25 PW faithful stepped up and followed his lead. PW chose the Community Youth and Women's Alliance of Coatesville to receive the trees and a gang of PW men lead by Lex McCurry and Keith McLean delivered.
